6 Ways to Save Using Coupons!

Today I am writing about the many ways you can save on daily necessities. Even if you have little time to spend clipping coupons every day, there are still tons of ways you can save and I’m going to break it down for you. Everyone has their own degree of couponing. From trying to save a few bucks on groceries to having stockpiles in your garage, everyone can save.

1. The first and easiest way to save is to get loyalty cards. Most grocery stores and drugstores have rewards programs built right into a loyalty card. Simply swipe your card or enter a phone number to get access to member only sales and rewards programs.

2. Mobile rebate apps can save you a small fortune. If you have a few minutes on your lunch break or at bedtime to scroll through the rebates. You  can earn cash back on your purchases with very little time and effort. I recommend ibotta, SavingStar, ebates, and checkout 51. All are very reputable programs and offer many different rebates. I love Ibotta because I can get cash back on my amazon purchases! I have gotten back hundred of dollars using these programs.

3. Load 2 card coupons. This is a part of the loyalty card savings. Most stores with the loyalty cards offer load to card coupons. You simply go to the stores’  website and pick the coupons you’d like to have loaded to your card and your discount comes off during checkout. No clipping involved.

4. Printable coupons. There are lots of online coupon sites where you can print coupons. Coupons.com, Smartsource.com, redplum.com, and lozo.com are some of my favorites. You can also subscribe to monthly emails for certain companies to get coupons delivered to your email. I like Sugardale for this. Every month I get a new Sugardale coupon in my email. You can also go straight to manufacturer websites to check for coupons. Driscoll’s offers berry coupons when you sign up to be apart of their consumer panel. All you have to do is take a brief survey each time you buy Driscoll berries and you will be rewarded with a coupon on your next purchase.

5. Newspaper coupons. Every Sunday, the newspaper will have coupon inserts. If you don’t want to buy an expensive paper each week you can ask a friend or neighbor to save their extras for you or you can even check with local stores Monday morning to see if you can just have the inserts. Keep in mind that there are not usually inserts on holiday weekends. Keep an eye out for the proctor and gamble insert at the first weekend of each month. There are tons of great coupons in this insert.

6. Stacking coupons. This is where it starts to set a little tricky and time consuming. Using multiple coupons on one item is possible depending on the store and type of coupon. Different stores have different policies and you will need to familiarize yourself with the stores coupon policy for this. I have a few coupon policies in this blog for your reference. You will need to understand the difference between a manufacturer coupon and a store coupon for stacking. Manufacturer coupons are exactly that. They come directly from the distributor and can be used at any store that accepts coupons. Store coupons are only valid at the specific store listed on the coupon.
